"I wanted to congratulate you on the RTP Financial Dashboard... You've really created a phenomenal tool that gives business owners a unprecedented level of insight into their business.     Our two hours spent with the tool yesterday gave me a level of understanding of my business that would previously have taken me days or weeks of Excel/QuickBooks crunching to accomplish.   After only 1 day using the tool,  I can't imagine running my business without it....   It would be like driving with my eyes closed.."

"Working with Larry Schulze as our coach for the last two years has been a tremendous benefit to our business. We have transformed the company from a reactive sales and service company to a proactive, managed service organization. We have seen improvements in all key aspects of the business, including revenue, service utilization, and most importantly profitability. Larry has helped me focus on working on the business rather than working in the business."

David Prince

"Since we began working with the Taylor Business Group, we have quadrupled our net profit, radically improved customer service and responsiveness, reduced our staff's stress levels, and gotten rave reviews from our client's on the improvements in our processes. Working with Larry has helped me to focus on the business in a way that only someone looking in from the outside can. TBG does for us, what we do for our clients - Provides the business tools and processes for success."

"I have been working with the Taylor Business Group since 2004 when I began attending their workshops, which include Managing for Profitability, Services Workshop, and Managing Sales. Within 2006, I engaged their consulting services to ensure that on a monthly basis, time was set aside in my business to focus on how and when we'd implement the things learned in these workshops. I highly recommend the Taylor Business Group as a way to regularly step outside your business to work on your business."

Business Improvement Groups

Managing a technology company is challenging, to say the least. Managing it profitably is an even bigger challenge! The Taylor Business Group offers two different types of peer-to-peer groups to assist with issues surrounding profitability; one for the executive team and one for service management.

Business Improvement Groups (or BIGs) consist of the same members each time you meet. It will become a close network of counterparts that you can call upon when you have any business issue facing you that you would like input from outside the company. Everyone signs non-disclosures so whatever is said or presented stays within the group.

Here are some significant facts about the Taylor Business Group's BIGs you should be aware of:

  • BIGs are not management retreats. They are executive management focused reviews and conferences.
  • They are not member lead. They are facilitated by consultants trained in facilitating effective group meetings.
  • BIGs do not involve group techie talk. They focus on best practices to implement efficiencies and processes to drive more profits to your bottom line.
  • The Taylor Business Group does not restrict your participation in the BIGs based upon what PSA software you are using.
  • And in order to remain vendor/organization neutral, we do not accept sponsorship money from vendors or organizations.

The meetings are one and half days long. The agenda for the meetings generally consist of the following:

    · Financial analysis - If you are participating in an owner (Profit Makers) BIG, you will be asked to upload your financials into our renown Roadmap to Profitability Financail Dashboard. Participants in the Service Managers BIGs will be asked to complete a spreadheet for uploading. This information is then put onto 30 plus charts with the other members and our targeted benchmarks to give you a view of how your period-over-period and year-over-year numerical performance of your business compares to others in the group and to the benchmarks. All companies will be represented by a unique letter on all of the charts.

  • · Special topics - There will be one or two special topics that we as a group identify to cover in our meetings. Examples of special topics can be annuity revenues, compensation plans, business systems, specialty products, pricing, sales issues, service issues, disaster recovery, managed services, manufacturer/distributor issues, etc. You decide what they are.

    · Objectives - you will be asked to develop company/departmental fiscal year objectives and activities and present them to the group. Then at each conference thereafter, you will be presenting your success in implementing those objectives and activities.

    · Board presentation - Two members at each conference will be asked to present their company’s performance to the rest of the group as though they were presenting to a board of directors. This is a very positive experience garnering ideas from other members on how to better improve your business.

    · Roundtable discussion - With the time remaining, we entertain a general roundtable discussion on any topic that a member would like to receive input from the rest of the group on a topic that may not have been covered in the course of the conference.

You will receive a bound copy of the charts that are presented and any materials that were provided by either the other members or on the special topics up for discussion and have access to the Roadmap to Profitability Financial Dashboard at no additional charge.

We would look forward to having you join what has turned out to be a very rewarding and popular offering by the Taylor Business Group.
